Banking and Securities practice paper… I just want a 15 minute break! Lets make it 30 minutes just for shits and giggles. So this is my Monday night. I left work just before 7 today which is actually quite early compared to others, my excuse being that I had to study for my upcoming oral exams as part of my GDLP. Granted, I like commercial law and financial services law, but after this hectic hot day, I need something else. Something to help me wind down and just for me. Stealing a little time at the beginning of the week. And this is when a little Monday night facial seems perfect!
And what better way to prepare my skin for tomorrow’s Melbourne Cup Day celebrations at work! So here I am, sitting in front of my computer with a GlamGlow volcanic clay mask on and completely unable to move my tight face. But I love it. I’m stealing a little me time.
This is my brighten-and-lift-that-study-face combo at the moment; GlamGlow mud mask, Trilogy Rosehip Oil (the one with antioxidants), and Origins hydrating night mask. I justified the price of the GlamGlow mud mask because I knew it would last me quite a while. I purchased mine from strawberrynet.com and I’ve had it for over 6 months now. However, I think its available at Mecca stores now in Sydney. The Origins Drink Up Intensive Night Mask is from MECCA Cosmetica for $37.00. And my Trilogy Rosehip Oil is from good old Priceline for $29.99 (pretty sure I got it on a ridiculous 50% off sale).
I’m loving this combo and this is why; the volcanic sediments in the Glamglow mud really exfoliate my skin and tighten everryythhiinngg. I normally leave it on for 15 minutes or so and sometimes when my skin is that extra bit dry, I use a gentle face exfoliating glove with warm water in circular motions to remove the mask. But the real skin hero is my Trilogy Rosehip Oil! I actually used this on a nightly basis during winter and my skin never got to that flakey dry state. At first I thought it would just make my face a shiny oily mess but my skin absolutely loves it and eats it up! Nom. Speaking of eating up, the last thing I apply is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Night Mask. The consistently is a bit thick and sticky on my skin but it settles into my skin quite quickly and the yummy exotic fruit smell definitely makes up for it!
Enjoy the Melbourne Cup guys! Good luck and fingers crossed for big winnings x.
